We’ve been serving authentic Chicken Gumbo in Singapore for over 25 years, but there will always be someone from Louisiana telling us that our gumbo is good, except that the gumbo they make back home is better. Guess that makes ours the 2nd best? Gumbo is Cajun French for soup. It’s made with a roux, Cajun veggies, spices and herbs, spicy chicken sausage and, of course, chicken. Our spicy minced beef stew has just enough heat to let you know it’s the real thing, but no beans to remind you throughout the day. Made with fresh vegetables, spices and imported tomatoes to bring out a broad range of flavour notes. It’s also great as a topping for burgers and hotdogs, which we also do.

In the past, we were well known for our Cajun (spicy) fries. So much so that we went through over 24 tonnes of fries in one month. Well, that was then, and this is now. Some of the brands that used to be available are no longer. Go figure. Let’s blame it on the pandemic. However, we have, after a lot of feedback (negative) searched out the available brands now available and believe we are back to our “normal” At least the feedback is mostly positive now. You let us know.

What could be more American than Cheeseburgers? Apple Pie? Chevrolets? A cheeseburger is so iconic to American culture that Jimmy Buffet, songwriter/performer wrote a whole song about them. With all this build up, ours better be decent. Yes, we know. We hand make ours with minced beef from a very tender part of the steer. Mixed with our own mixed spices and topped with American cheese. These come dressed with lettuce, tomato and onion. Not cool with the veggies? Just let our cheerful staff know when you order. Also, comes with two sides, of Cajun fries and coleslaw.

Sometime in the past in a place called Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, someone, for some reason came up with the cheesesteak. Since we are in Singapore and I am not from Philadelphia I made what I thought was a good representation of the Philly Cheesesteak, but I was told two things from a native of Philadelphia; one) our cheesesteak doesn’t taste like the original, and two) don’t change it because it’s too damn good Taking this advice to heart, we humbly offer you the Singapore Cheesesteak. Such a traditional Singaporean flavour gave me the idea of trying to make it with chicken. Using different forms of black pepper really gives a wider flavour. We top it with our mushroom pepper sauce for a slight contrast that makes the flavour pop!
